Here are some ways that you can avoid this when you are working in a home based business.
Have a regular schedule
The first thing that you have to do is to set a regular schedule for yourself. Set the time that you will start work, the time that you are going to end work, and when you will take your lunch. Although you are going to have a lot more flexibility than a job where you work in an office, showing that you have a schedule set up will make people realize that you are serious.
Get dressedOne of the things that you see plastered all over the Internet is about working in your pajamas. How do you expect people to take you seriously if they walk into your house while you are working and see you in your pajamas?
These are just a couple of ways that you can show people that you are serious and that although you are working from home that you are doing a real job. Treat it like a real job and the skeptics are going to treat it as a real job as well.” (Unquote)
THE SOLUTION, as Diane and Ken Haugen (this blog www.cheapclix.net) see it, MLM people NEED TO RETRO-FOCUS back to PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS. Internet Marketing (IM) has forever changed the way multi-level-marketers think, and it is NOT good. TOO MANY think that MLM is like Affiliate Marketing on the Internet. IT IS NOT. Successful MLM is about personal referrals, while Affiliate Marketing is about as impersonal as marketing gets.
FIRST, we must realize that the two concepts can go hand-in-hand — each with different strategies, however.
SECOND, we must create our strategy for each — one for MLM and one for IM. Abrahams appears to have a successful strategy for IM and Affiliate Marketing. For IM to work, we MUST blog constantly and we must become affiliated with existing web products and/or create many of our own products such as e-articles, e-books, or as we do — link to a “niche market”, for example, like what we do at CHEAPCLIX.NET with our link to www.homesquadcities.net. For MLM to work, we must represent great companies that are successful with MLM, such as www.mannapages.com/2595360 or www.simplexityhealth.com/dianehaugen AND USE OUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS to DRIVE traffic to those MLM sites. TOO MANY MLMers have lost that focus, and they instead “sign up” for everything, thinking that MLM means “Multiple Linking Methods” or some such internet program. MLM is NOT IM!
